On August 2, 2015, We Landed in Narita, Japan, after an eleven-hour trip to Tokyo from Los Angeles. Then a 3-hour layover, then a seven-hour flight to Narita. We have a 3-hour layover here and will take a seven-hour flight to Yogyakarta.
We are waiting for our next flight in about 3.5 hours. Had to go through an inspection when we landed, and I lost my water. Darn it as if you would come all this way with stuff not caught by American Airlines. I was able to buy 500cc of water here for 1.60 yen.
Our Flight was without problems, but American Airlines’ entertainment did not impress me. They have several movies, and about half would not play through. I also had to wait for a while before the movie started. Other airlines let you start the movies when you want to, pause and rewind. These also would only play for the first 20 minutes before pixelating. Food was, of course, full of oil, bell peppers, and meat. So I am in a stinky mood. Poor Chick.
I hope you are all well, and I miss you already.
I did hear that there is a wonderful 5th-century temple in Jakarta from a friendly steward. I look forward to seeing it. Chick says we will have a day there at the end of our trip.
Love to you all,
Donna
